The weather didn't stay nice for long though; by show time it was overcast and sprinkling.
Both shows were 3/4 full. We got an unintentional laugh in the second table act. While we were carrying the table into the ring, Ryan, who was walking backwards, tripped on the ring mat and ate it.
We made a bit out of it and carried on with the gag as usual.
Dick Kohlrieser came to see both shows tonight and joined us for our BBQ; it was a big night with the Poemas and the Rices in attendance as well.
On Sunday we had a 6:30 a.m. call for our 32 mile jump to Coldwater. We were playing on a rocky lot and it was an overcast day. Oh joy!
A group of circus fans brought doughnuts and juice to the lot this morning; the refreshments were much enjoyed by all.
Before the first show there was a joint birthday party for Argio, Armando and Natalia's son, and Elijah, the son of Maxi, one of the Fusco brothers. It was held under the pony ride tent.
There was lots of good food, but I decided it was time to vacate the premises when the pinata was brought out and the kids were given a baseball bat to swing in the small space!
We had a full first show. The bleachers were 3/4 full for the second show, but the ring side seating was almost empty. It was very strange; I almost asked the audience over the microphone if they thought we smelled.
