May 22-23: Dover, OH & Old Washington, OH-2:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. & 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.

On Saturday we had a 6:30 a.m. call for our 26 mile jump to Dover. We were on a grass lot and it was an overcast day.

Ryan and I went on an expedition to find a book store that turned out to be out of business. I hate it when that happens!

It rained a bit this morning, but the sun came out in the afternoon, making it very hot and humid.
We had a good sized crowd for the first show. While we were doing opening there was a little boy in the bleachers that was crying his head off. There are a lot of comedic pauses in the number, so you could hear him very well.
Finally Ryan stopped and asked the mother, "Is he going to be ok?"
I suggested trying to shake him, which got a great shocked laugh from the audience.

There were less people in attendance for the second show. Ryan found some sugar cubes on the ring mat from Carolyn's dog act, so he fed them to me as a treat when I brought the cable ladder over to him.

Casey, Natalie, the twins, and I tried to gain entry to the Moose Lodge by the lot so we could sing karaoke.
The moose knuckles running the establishment were elitist slobs though, and they denied us entry. We ended up having a much better time at two other establishments, one of which was a very nice bar that re opened the kitchen just for us.

On Sunday we had a 6:30 a.m. call for our 48 mile jump to Old Washington. It was a very foggy drive, but once the fog lifted it was a sunny day. We were playing on a grass lot.

Ryan and I made squibs while watching that cinematic masterpiece, Freddy Vs. Jason. We knew it was a good movie when there was a topless woman in the first five minutes of the film.

We had an almost full first show; it was another very humid day. The heat got a little more personal when a squib from the shotgun prop burned my hand!

We had a decent sized crowd for the second show. I was marveling at the fact that on a sunny day Ryan and I got filthier from the wet ring mat than we did during all the days this week when it was raining!

I stayed at home this evening and had a great time relaxing, playing video games, and talking to people on the Internet.
