He Ringmasters Too?

Sunday, March 20: Jasper, TX-2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.

Miles: 60

Lot: Lions Rodeo Arena

Ryan and I rewrote the opening of the artist gag this morning. Now that the camel act is before us, there is a lull where the ring mat has to be brought in.

We came up with an intro that has Ryan coming into the ring through the seats as a volunteer to model for a sculpture.

We gave our new music to Vickie and talked everything through with John Moss.

The new intro worked well, it successfully kept the show moving, and it improved in only two shows.

Ryan is going to try out a lot of shtick with the public as he enters the ring.

We did good business for the first show, and there was an average sized crowd for the second show.

I had a good laugh before the first opening. The guest ringmaster, the local sponsor, was giving a speech, and he introduced John Moss as, "your ringmaster, John Ringling North II!"

When I ran by John for the opening I of course had to bow and say, "Mr. Ringling."
