There's No 'Boro Like Woodsboro

Tuesday, May 31: Woodsboro, MD-4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

Miles: 53

Lot: Fire Co. Activities Complex

We were on a grassy lot today, and it was extremely hot, even when we arrived to the lot around 8 a.m.!

Casey's friend, Jackie, is visiting for a couple of days, and she gave us a ride to breakfast this morning.

Our friends, Mark Lohr and Tom Dougherty, came to visit us today. Ryan and I worked with Mark in China a few years ago, and we have known Tom from following his career on various circuses as well as meeting him in different places.

We all had a good talk about clowning before the shows. I knew it was going to be hard work today when we left my air conditioned trailer and hit the wall of hot, muggy air outside.

There was an average sized crowd at the first show; Mark and Tom really helped add energy to the overheated crowd. If they hadn't come out, the show would have been a blank for us.

The second show had a good sized crowd, and even though the sun had gone down, it was still incredibly humid.
