Circus Vacation

Friday, September 30: Granville, IL-4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

Miles: 37

Lot: High School

Those of us returning for the 2012 edition of Kelly Miller met in Mr. North's RV today at noon for a production meeting about the new show.

The meeting went on for about 2 1/2 hours, but a lot was accomplished. The biggest challenge was finding ways to get in and out of each act without pauses, while allowing for the fact that some people need to make quick costume changes.

We had decent business for the first show, and there was a good turnout for the second show. The lot was a lot nicer than the one yesterday; the only bad thing was that it was so cold!

Vincent, a circus and elephant fan from Switzerland, watched the second performance. He is on vacation from his job, and he is here in the states for a few weeks to watch as many circuses as he can.

Radar treated Vincent and myself to dinner after work.

We were lucky that the generator was left on all night for us; I didn't really feel like becoming a Steve-sicle.
