Satellite Down!

Thursday, February 23: McAllen, TX-6:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.
Miles: 26
Lot: Expwy 83 & 29th

The reason we jumped to the McAllen lot last night was so the top radio station in the area, 107.9 Mix FM, could do a live broadcast with us from 6 to 10 a.m.

John Moss, Fridman, Carolyn, Becky, and Radar all did hits with the DJs, Alex and Meridee. Ryan and I did several spots since we were station favorites (Meridee said we were the funniest clowns she's ever seen [ ya?]).

Ryan, Radar, and I walked over to Barnes & Noble at the conclusion of the P.R. Radar and I headed straight for the Starbucks, only to be stuck behind a line of school kids.
As we waited, and waited, and waited, Radar kept repeating, "Kids don't need coffee!"
I contributed the joke, "Give me a double shot of chocolate milk and a bubble gum latte!"

Alex, one of the 107.9 Mix FM DJs, and A.J., who we did a radio spot with last week, picked Ryan and I up a little later and took us to lunch.

We went to a Poncho's in Pharr and were treated to what Alex described as, "the best meal you are going to have down here."
He was right!
Alex ordered for the table and I could not get over how delicious the food was. Alex and A.J. were also fun company; we all had a good time cracking jokes and sharing business experiences.

Our advance clowns, Dave and Sherri, came by for a quick visit to give me some footage of our gags they filmed last weekend.
It was nice to see them, and we were happy to see how clean the gags look so early in the season.
Naturally, we did see some movements that could be done better, and we implemented them into the shows tonight.

We had a small crowd for the first show, and an average sized crowd for the second one.

During the second performance, the camels knocked over Ryan and Tatiana's satellite dish, putting it out of commission.
Only at the circus!
