Lot: Legends of the Fog grounds
There was a huge line of vehicles waiting to turn onto the lot as we approached this morning. Not only was the circus performing, but there was also a lacrosse tournament occurring.
From what I heard, the line of cars only got worse as the day progressed. Anybody that left the lot had to wait up to thirty minutes in some instances just to get back to the tent.
Our friend, Carol, came to visit today, and she was nice enough to bring goodies for me and toys for Nico. Thanks, Carol!
The Freestate Clown Alley #30/John Ringling North II-Steve & Ryan tent hosted a delicious lunch for the show in the cookhouse. They made up gift bags for all the kids and teens on the show, and Pat had some packages for me and Ryan that we had shipped to her house.
In addition to the clowns and Carol, circus fan Dick Flint was visiting for both shows, and Katie, one of the clowns from the Alley/Tent surprised us by showing up. We didn't think we'd get to see her today, but it turned out that her daughter was coaching one of the lacrosse teams that was involved in the tournament next to the tent.
Carol brought a lot of good food for us to have a barbecue after the shows, and Pat and Thom brought food as well (and a grill to supplement Radar's). The barbecue was a great success and a lot of fun. Thank you so much to Carol, Pat, Thom, and Keith for a wonderful evening!
In closing, here is a picture of me with a little girl in Hancock, MD three years ago:
